It has been more than two eventful decades since JAA has been founded. We have been invloved in a plethora of activities. Our annual calendar lists all the major events, Social Events, Community Services, Cultural/ Traditional Shows and Events, Food for the needy, Philanthropy, Fund Raisers for Community services, etc. Listed Below are various activities that are currently under progress and some of the many that have been achieved in the past.
JAA Business club:
JAA Business Club objective is to bring members together on a professional level. Members can exchange ideas and discuss various business opportunities within the community. Please mail your business card or description of what you do so that we can add to our database.
Women & JAA:
Aside from a women’s night, there are many ideas waiting to be implemented for women by women. As an example, invite speakers about women related issues: art, health or business. We also have the annual "Mother of the Year" honour on the Mother's Day Event, where the winner is honoured with gifts and a bouquet of flowers symbolizing our appreciation to every mother in our community for all the hard work in this life. JAA launches redesigned & updated Web site:
Currently in process of designing a new web site: www.jaasf.org. JAA news, events, member’s services and more will all be posted on the web. The site is currently under construction, will be up and running shortly.
Food for the Needy:
We hold 'food for the needy' event often for the poor and the needy in the San Francisco bay area .
Arabic School:
Arabic Language is taught at the JAA Hall by Sima Jarjourah, on Saturdays for children aged 7 and above. Please check with JAA for more details. ( This course is held only during certain times of the year, and not year long, the course duration is around 8 weeks) |
